Our Story
Made by hand.
Every morning.
Since 1945.

Every morning, we make our ice cream fresh, by hand, using local, natural ingredients. No endless menu. No nasty additives. No gimmicks.

Just the same smooth, creamy Vanilla recipe that's kept locals and visitors coming back for generations.

The recipe dates back to the Second World War. The shop has been on New Road, Newlyn since 1945.

Under new ownership since 2021, the recipe remains unchanged and the shop has undergone a light refresh while staying true to its heritage. Jelbert's can now also be enjoyed at local events, weddings, and other occasions thanks to the addition of an ice cream bike, trailer, and even a converted Mini.

Cone or tub? Clotted cream, Flake, or both? These are the only decisions.

Events and Merch
We now take bookings for events. We also have a selection of Jelbert's merchandise in the shop, which can be posted.
